A SEX EDUCATION GUIDE FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM

1999. It’s the end of the summer and the end of high school. Oliver sets out on an ardent quest to “do the deed” with Sophia before the Y2K bug hits. But along comes Ben, a magical manly-man creature, and they form an unlikely triangle which causes new feelings. Is Ben a friend, a best friend, or a boyfriend? Now the race is on to find out exactly who they are before the end of the world.
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT
OLIVIER SYLVESTRE (he, him, his) is a Montreal writer and translator. He’s known for his play La beauté du monde, recipient of the Prix Gratien-Gélinas and shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award for French-language drama (2015) and his short story collection Noms fictifs, shortlisted for French-language fiction (2018). His play La loi de la gravité (Éditions Passages(s)), has won numerous awards in Europe was translated into German performed at the Theaterfestival Primeur in Saarbrücken (2016).
ABOUT THE TRANSLATOR
BOBBY THEODORE (he, him, his) is a screenwriter, playwright, dramaturg, and translator. Bobby has worked on several TV series, including Murdoch Mysteries, Flashpoint, and Knuckleheads. His translation of 15 Seconds by François Archambault was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award Translation (2002). Bobby has translated over 25 plays from French to English. His translation of François Archambault’s You Will Remember Me (2014) premiered at ATP, received the Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding New Play, and was produced across Canada and the USA.
